Delta Goodrem will sing the national anthem at next week’s Australian Grand Prix.
Goodrem will add star quality to the event - which is desperately needed after the cancellation of the celebrity race.
She is expected to be in Melbourne with her fiance, Brian McFadden.
The Grand Prix is the first major event to feel the effects of the global financial crisis.
Vodafone has cancelled its extravagant trackside marquee this year.
The company, however, will still throw an annual party to be held at Eureka bar on Saturday night.
Red Bull, a company famous for putting on million-dollar parties, is also downsizing and its trackside presence will not be as big as in previous years.
The last couple of years Mercedes-Benz has thrown its Star Lounge parties at Eureka, but this year it’s all at the track.
Mercedes-Benz will host a ladies’ lunch on Thursday and host a party after the race on Sunday.
Lewis Hamilton will attend the Tag Heur party at Bistro Guillaume on Thursday.
Guests who will be attending Sunday’s night’s party include Shane Warne, Michala Banas, Tim Campbell, Benjamin Hart, Angus Kennett, Hamish McLachlan, Naomi Robson, Jo Stanley, Brett Tucker, Rhys Ulrich and Kym Valentine.
